At the New York premiere, she was back to her usual self and was asked during a Q&A session moderated by Jason Bateman on how she achieved the transformation. Aniston mentioned that she simply stopped working out for two-and-a-half months and relaxed her diet slightly. Going makeup-free, except for some added dark rings under her eyes, was a bonus for the actress who looked stunning in a black blouse and skinny jeans at the event.

The makeup artist worked diligently to create believable scars through various trials and experiments. Initially, the scars looked quite gruesome, resembling scenes from horror movies like Chainsaw Massacre or Freddy Kruger. However, with time, Jennifer became used to them and even found them oddly beautiful. She mentioned that transforming into her character, Claire, required understanding the details of the accident, the pain, and the injury. Jennifer emphasized the importance of fearlessness in embracing the transformation and being prepared to fully embody the character.
