In the month of September last year, Stinger, a pit bull with hearing impairment, accidentally disturbed a beehive and was stung multiple times. The poor dog was in a critical condition due to the sheer number of bites he had received and was immediately taken to the vet. Sadly, Stinger’s owners abandoned him at the clinic, and he never saw them again.
However, the situation took a turn when Carri Shipaila, the founder of LuvnPupz animal rescue group, entered the scene. She found out that Stinger was suffering from scabies and was severely malnourished. According to Carri, she talked to the animal control authorities and was informed that the shelter couldn’t treat Stinger, leading to his possible euthanasia. Luckily, an emergency veterinary clinic contacted her to provide assistance.
When she brought him to the shelter, they gave him the name Stinger.
As soon as I received the news about Stinger, I quickly rushed to my car and drove for almost an hour to reach the clinic. Upon seeing him, it became apparent that he required our assistance, and I was willing to spare no cost to ensure he received the care he needed.
The poor pup went through a lot of pain and discomfort for a few days. Upon further examination, it was revealed that he had pemphigus, an autoimmune disease that causes blisters on the skin and mucous membranes such as the eyes, mouth, nose, and throat. As a result, he will need to take medication daily for the rest of his life.
Carri expressed to Boredom Panda that Stinger is an exceptional puppy who has a heart full of love for everyone he meets. He possesses all the desirable qualities of his breed, such as playfulness, liveliness, and affection.
