An Allentown-based pastor in Pennsylvania went above and beyond to honor his deceased pug, Dexter, by orchestrating an extravagant funeral for his furry friend. Tim Beville Jr., a devoted pet owner, organized the elaborate ceremony after his beloved 7-year-old dog lost its life due to an undisclosed illness in late April. The funeral included an open casket, an assortment of beautiful flowers, and a large embroidered print of Dexter that will always hold special memories for the heartbroken pastor.
A collection of blooms was present at Dexter’s memorial service held on May 4. This piece of information was shared by Tim Beville Jr. through his Facebook account.
Dexter was placed in a casket adorned with a lovely blue bow tie, a chew toy, and a cozy fleece blanket. The ceremony also offered guests a program featuring Dexter’s picture, where they could sign in and pay their respects.
Visitors had the chance to register their attendance at the funeral and were given a memento in honor of Dexter. Additionally, an obituary was published to pay tribute to Dexter’s life. The obituary recounted how Dexter had been a constant presence by the writer’s side ever since he arrived home, only being separated when he had to undergo treatment at the hospital. However, once he returned, Dexter remained by his owner’s side until the very end.
A charming picture of Dexter was shared by Tim Beville Jr. on Facebook, a memory that will be cherished forever. Sending flowers to the family or planting a tree to honor his memory is requested in the obituary. His cremation took place at Creekside Pet Crematory in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday morning.
